Mooncake time again
This week the Mid-Autumn Festival should be celebrated in China. Don't forget those mooncakes.

Mooncake Time Again
Yeah, I spoke with Shu last night and she was sad because this is the first Chinese holiday that we are apart from each other as husband and wife and will not be able to celebrate together.

Re: Mooncake time again
Yup... That time again!
We bought some yesterday and Hu Yue promptly ate all of them. <grin> No problem... I like mooncake, but kinda', sorta' have to be in the mood for them.
Anyone have a preference for any particular style of mooncake? I noticed there are a few different types.

@ Snyder. Sorry to hear you are apart from the wife. I know how that is man and I can't tell you how happy I am now that she's here.
@ Paul.
I like the ones that are filled with lotus nut paste the best. The ones with the 1000 year old egg just don't seem to be as palatable to me.

Re: Mooncake time again
Lijuan bought several boxes of different kinds of mooncakes, some days ago, to eat ourselves,
and to give as gifts for some of our chinese friends here. Paul.. I like those with a lot of different
kind of nuts inside, but as you said, you have to be in the mood to eat them.
They are quite compact to eat, so one, is more than enough.

Re: Mooncake time again
I know what you guys mean. We cut them into thin slices and serve them that way....Yuping brought some special ones home made of been curd that was frozen so it was like the skin was regular mooncake and the insides were ice cream..... They were not too bad....Take care...
